On Friday 16 September 2022 EIT Urban Mobility participates in the Park(ing) day event occupying a public parking slot in the city of Barcelona and engaging several citizens in participatory process with the aim of building and designing together the urban public space, while discussing topics related to design more liveable cities and how to adapt the public space to citizens needs.
We will create our own space: a green area where citizens could define what their ideal city looks like Come and join us to see how we can build a more liveable environment: Rambla de Catalunya, 102-104. from 9.00 am until 2.00 pm
In addition, we are actively sponsoring and participating in the “Bicicletada Reivindicativa” (Bicycle-demand campaign) that will take place on the same day, starting at 6.00 pm.
Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory art project launched by Rebar in 2005. It is a day when people across the world temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them into tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism. We’re excited to partner with ISGlobal and Espai Ambiental Cooperativa in the initiative.
