In this Mobility Talk episode organised in collaboration with Nemi, you will have the opportunity to ask our panellists about the main topics and insights of our latest report on Demand Responsive Transport, combining perspectives from cities, solution providers, and experts.
Based on the input from 16 experts from private and public sectors, our report contextualises the development of DRT in Europe and critically assesses its potential in urban, peri-urban, and rural context.
The report’s launch on 19 October coincides with this Mobility Talk. Our speakers have all contributed to the report and will discuss its main take-aways and recommendations. Panellists will explore best practices for planning and deploying DRT services, touching upon operational aspects, policy, and user engagement.
Meet our speakers
Miloš N. Mladenović, Assistant Professor at the Spatial Planning and Transportation Engineering Group, Department of Built Environment, School of Engineering – Aalto University
Miloš’ current research interests include assessment of emerging mobility technologies, and development of decision-support methods. His previous and current teaching responsibilities include a range of courses in transport systems policy, planning, modeling, management, and design.
Before Aalto, Miloš has obtained his BSc in Transport Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and his MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, USA. In addition, he has held a visiting research position at the Spatial Planning and Strategy chair, Delft University of Technology, and is an affiliate member of 4TU Centre for Ethics and Technology, the Netherlands.
Rafał Stanecki, Policy officer at DG MOVE, Directorate General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission.
Rafal is in charge of R&I activities in the area of transport infrastructure and mobility in rural areas. This involves proposing, negotiating and drafting R&I topics for European R&I framework programmes underpinning Commission’s policy initiatives and following the results of ongoing R&I projects.
Rafał graduated with master’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1994 at the Technical University in Gliwice Poland and with master’s degree in Marketing and Management at the Silesian International Business School, Katowice Poland in 1997.
Lisa Grace, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Nemi.
At Nemi, Lisa heads up the Marketing and Business Development team for Spain and UK.
Before Nemi, Lisa obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in European Languages and Business from Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom. She then gained experience in market research working in leading UK and Spanish agencies. In addition, prior to joining Nemi, Lisa worked at the Center for Innovation in Transport at the UPC.
Lucia Cristea, Managing Director at European Integrated Projects.
Lucia is an enthusiast in developing new, innovative ways to improve sustainable mobility. She has been working in the field of mobility for more than 35 years.
Since 2007 she is the Managing Director of European Integrated Projects (EIP), a consultancy company she founded in Bucharest, Romania. Through EIP, Lucia has been involved in a series of projects that intend to deliver a better quality of life for citizens in Europe. There, she works closely with many categories of stakeholders, starting from the end-users to the high-level politicians.
In SMARTA project, the first study on rural mobility funded by DG MOVE and sponsored by European Parliament, Lucia led the Dissemination and Networking activities.
