Home > Request for proposal: Series of Investor Pitch Workshops
19 December 2024
By the present procurement procedure, EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L., hereby being referred to as “EIT UM” or “EIT”, is aiming to identify qualified experts, individuals, or companies (hereinafter referred to as “Suppliers”, “Tenderer” and “Provider”), to support the Impact Ventures team in 2025. EIT Urban Mobility is primarily seeking skilled professionals who bring together diverse expertise to create high-quality online investor pitch workshops.
The EIT launched the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) in 2014 as its primary initiative to reduce Europe’s regional innovation disparities. EIT RIS supports innovators from eligible countries by providing access to EIT activities, fostering connections among regional innovation stakeholders, and offering customized programs. These programs are designed to support moderate and emerging innovators, as well as the EU’s Outermost Regions, in strengthening their innovation capacities.
EIT RIS aims to enhance the innovation capabilities of these targeted regions by building the capacity of local actors, including businesses, startups, incubators, research institutions, and educational organizations. For the period between 2021–2027, key objectives include strengthening local innovation ecosystems through capacity-building and attracting additional private and public funding. Achieving these goals relies on developing a broad range of entrepreneurial skills among both new and experienced entrepreneurs. Key skills include effectively communicating complex ideas, engaging audiences persuasively, and mastering the English language.
Through this Request for Proposals (RfP), EIT Urban Mobility seeks to enhance the investor-pitching skills of RIS-based entrepreneurs. This will help them not only in securing investment and other funding but also in becoming more competitive within the European market. The economic gap within RIS countries often limits participation in such capacity-building activities. EIT Urban Mobility aims to address this disparity by offering these workshops through its startup community platform.
These workshops will be delivered online, in group settings, to promote peer-to-peer learning and mutual exchange.
In short, the main objectives of this initiative is to:
