The Academic Initiative Development Manager will report to the Academy Director. The Academic Initiative Development Manager will work in close cooperation with the Head of the Master School and the Head of the Doctoral Training Network. S/he will be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of existing and new academic and student programmes. Including the Master School, the Doctoral Training Network, as well as our student start-up incubator and internship programmes. The Master School and the Doctoral Training Network programmes are run in close cooperation with about 20 partner universities. The vast majority of the academic programme activities are developed in line with the EIT Label quality framework and have a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship education and training. We are presently in the process of hiring a Quality Assurance Officer that will have the overall responsibility for the EIT Label process.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Planning
- Overlook and secure implementation in line with set business plans
- Monitoring and follow up of KPI development and revenue generation
- Regular status reporting to the Academic Director
- Securing a strong involvement of industry and cities
- Monitoring and follow up of EIT Label assessment processes
Development
- Responsible for initiatives to further develop academic programmes to gain scalability and volume
- Implementation of approved new initiatives
- Develop and drive initiatives to improve efficiency
- Active role in scouting for new partners (academic and non-academic)
Synergies
- Securing synergies across the Academy, across Thematic Areas (Innovation, Business Creation, Factory and City Club) and our Innovation Hubs (Barcelona, Munich, Copenhagen, Prague and Helmond/Eindhoven)
- Supporting EIT Community activities to gain synergies with other EIT organisations
