EIT Urban Mobility is now building up two related activities for Master and PhD students and graduates within the field of urban mobility. Successful candidates will gain industry experience in parallel to developing their start-up ideas.
For students who are soon to be graduated, such as the ones in the final year of their Master’s, we offer half-time 12-month positions. You will be working for the new Urban Mobility Consultancy being set up by EIT Urban Mobility Academy, as well as getting some support developing your start-up ideas.
The consulting part of the internship aims to give students and new graduates a variety of experiences with EIT Urban Mobility community partners, portfolio start-ups and other external actors. These tasks are either well-defined studies, such as helping to create sustainability strategies for cities, aiding new mobility start-ups with market research, business intelligence, innovation etc., or filling clients’ temporary workforce needs.
On the other hand, the ‘entrepreneurship’ part aims to support the growth of start-ups founded by students. We offer mentoring in the initial development of your start-up ideas, intending to prepare for the next stage of the process after graduation through our other programmes designed to foster entrepreneurship among the Urban Mobility graduates (see below). We look for students within the field of urban mobility and related areas and will give priority to students in EIT-labelled Master’s programmes from any of the EIT KIC organisations. This support is optional, handled in parallel to the paid internship.
Upon graduation, if interested, you have the opportunity to be part of our Graduate Consulting and Boosting Entrepreneurship Programme. You could develop your start-up ideas further with the support of the EIT Urban Mobility Business Creation team, now becoming the largest urban mobility focused start-up hub and impact investor. For start-ups founded as part of this particular programme, Business Creation will take a small equity part, in exchange for providing a quality seal and ensuring inclusion in the largest European urban mobility startup ecosystem.
These positions are open for applications continuously, and fresh applicants will be assessed for hiring at least once every quarter. Applicants for the initial round are planned to be accepted in from November 2022.
Requirements:
- Students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s in the field of urban mobility, sustainability and other related fields. Preference is for EIT-Labelled programmes
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1)
- One or more additional European languages is a plus
