EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe’s largest network for transport innovation in cities.
Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces.
Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

The Investment & Portfolio Assistant – Impact Ventures will report directly to the Head of Investment & Portfolio Management. The Investment & Portfolio Assistant supports the Investment & Portfolio Management activities and the Strategic Alliances activities regarding the administration, coordination and monitoring, quality assurance and reporting of EIT Urban Mobility Impact Ventures’ activities. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Connect to EU startup ecosystems with the purpose of building an investment deal flow for Impact Ventures’ investment activities
- Evaluate startups in the selection process of investment candidates
- Support and follow-up the relationship with ecosystems partners
- Prepare and support startups in the investment application process
- Support in the Due Diligence of start-ups in the investment process.
- Support in planning and executing ecosystem agent events
What you will bring along the way:
An ideal candidate would strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility’s mission. We are looking for individuals with a “can do” attitude, who are passionate about disseminating knowledge, know-how, good practices and lessons learnt.
Must-Haves:
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent[1].
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1).
- Experience in Venture Capital, startup investments, or accelerator programmes
- Experience in working in an international, multi-stakeholder environment
- Experience in assessing international ecosystems and startups
- Experience from EU funded multinational programmes, or similar type of programmes
- Strong analytical skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- Structured and Service-oriented personality

Kindly note that this position is based in Barcelona.
This is a permanent and full-time position, with possibility to homework up to 2 days a week.
