EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe’s largest network for transport innovation in cities.
Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces.
Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

Be part of a team where you will perform the following tasks:
The Access to Finance Manager will be part of the Impact Ventures team and will report to the Impact Ventures Director. The Access to Finance Manager will be responsible for initiating, driving, and closing series-A/B fundraising rounds for ventures in our portfolio that are looking to raise venture capital from European investors and corporate venture funds.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Closing fundraising deals for our portfolio ventures with target investors across regions to meet investment targets for those ventures.
- Building tailored investor lists and driving the fundraising process to get firm commitments on term sheets, funding amounts and deal closure timeline.
- Preparing fundraising preparation collateral for the ventures (business plans, teasers, pitch decks) and fine-tuning their financing needs (amount, timing, use of proceeds, valuation).
- Working with the CEO’s and co-founders of the ventures to prepare and rehearse their pitch to investors.
- Organizing matchmaking opportunities between the ventures and target VC funds, Corporate Venture funds, family offices, and national funding agencies.
- Executing investor engagement activities in the regions, to increase visibility & recognition of EIT Urban Mobility as a credible source of top-quality deal flow.
What you will bring along the way:
An ideal candidate would strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility’s mission. We are looking for individuals with a “can do” attitude, who are passionate about disseminating knowledge, know-how, good practices and lessons learnt.
Must-Haves:
- An MSc in STEM[1].
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1).
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in scaleup scouting, technology selling, closing deals, venture capital fundraising in scaleup accelerators or VCs in the technology sector.
- Strong network within the European investor community (Angel/Seed investors, Venture Capital firms, and Corporate Venture Funds) involved in impact startups within urban mobility.
- Outstanding analytical skills and experience with startup valuation, financial modeling, and business plan creation. Experience using tools used in the venture capital industry.
- Strong presentation and public appearance skills in English (verbal, written) and ability to convey simple and effective value propositions and messages.
- Hands-on approach with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on delivering results.
Nice-To-Have:
- A master’s degree in business administration.
- Fluency in any European language other than English.

Kindly note that this is a full-time permanent position.
EIT UM office location preferred. Other locations may be agreed.
Travel is expected.
No relocation expenses are assigned.
