EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe’s largest network for transport innovation in cities.
Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces.
Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

Be part of a team where you will perform the following tasks:
The Data Architect Assistant will support key activities in the IT Department and report to the Head of IT. The primary focus will be to contribute in managing the databases required for the business. Defining, feeding and maintaining a centralized data structure and integrating the data generated in SaaS Applications will also be a key part of the role. Managing the business continuity policies and measures, including critical data backups, will also be required. The secondary focus will be to manage the access to the central corporate data.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Scaling, maintaining and optimizing IT architectures using cloud solutions (MS solutions: ADF, Synapse)
- Defining and maintaining ETLs for the central database (ADF, Synapse)
- Migrating and integrating information segregated into the corporate cloud infrastructure.
- Managing security and access of cloud-based systems
- Ongoing operational administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Integration of data generated in different SaaS solutions.
- Technical focal point for company’s yearly data reporting
- Collaborate in assuring corporate Data consistency.
- Conducting stress tests to ensure systems’ robustness.
- Participating in assessments of new IT tools for data management.

Must-Haves:
- A Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science Engineering (or similar)[1]
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1).
- 2 years of professional experience in an equivalent role.
- Strong IT/technical knowledge: video recording, video editing, video publishing and tagging, e-learning content/module management, customer data-base management, etc;
- Motivation to work in fast-moving, innovative, and sometimes ambiguous environments;
- Team player who can work independently;
- Organized and structured, pro-active and hands-on;
- A positive and ‘can-do’ mindset.
Nice-To-Have:
- Fluency in any European language other than English.
- Technical certifications in the field of Data management, IT systems’ management, cloud computing or similar.

Kindly note that this position is based in Barcelona.
This is a permanent and full-time position, with possibility to homework up to 2 days a week.
No relocation expenses are granted.
