EIT Urban Mobility Signs NDA with Agence de l’Innovation pour les Transports in France to work towards sustainable urban mobility

Paris, France – EIT Urban Mobility and Agence de l’Innovation pour les Transports (AIT) in France have signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to establish a collaboration between both entities and achieve that France will become a sustainable country in terms of urban Mobility.

The agreement was signed by María-Paula Caycedo, EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub South Director, Thierry Coquil, Director General of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility, and Damien Cazé, Director General of Civil Aviation, the two Directorates General responsible for coordinating the Transport Innovation Agency.

The agreement focuses on federating the Innovation & Transport ecosystem through the joint organisation of events on sustainable urban mobility. EIT Urban Mobility and the AIT wish to share their experience in France and in Europe. 

The NDA agreement between EIT Urban Mobility and Agence de l’Innovation pour les Transports in France is a major step forward in achieving the goal of becoming a sustainable country in terms of urban mobility.  France has implemented several initiatives, including the renovation and modernisation of public transport systems, the promotion of more efficient intermodal transport solutions, the introduction of low-emission vehicles and green infrastructure projects. It is hoped that this collaboration will help to create a more efficient, safe and sustainable transport system that will benefit all citizens.

EIT Urban Mobility is also working with the country on many projects to promote sustainable urban mobility. These projects include the development of smart mobility solutions and the promotion of electric vehicles, as well as the implementation of innovative and sustainable public transport solutions. EIT Urban Mobility is also working on a project to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in France by introducing innovative technologies such as smart lighting and intelligent traffic systems. The project also aims to promote the use of shared and public transport.

About AIT

The Transport Innovation Agency (AIT, in French) was inaugurated in November 2021 by the French Minister of Transport. Its main mission is to support innovation for transport, which is essential for achieving medium and long-term climate objectives. The agency detects innovative projects with high systemic potential and supports the most promising projects through its Propulse programme. It federates the Innovation & Transport ecosystem and has a strong presence in France and abroad thanks to several strategic partnerships, including one with the EIT Urban Mobility.
