EIT Urban Mobility will be part of the annual Eurocities conference in the heart of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca. The conference will welcome participants one week before the European Parliament elections. City leaders will have a unique opportunity to share their experiences and expectations for the next five years. The goal is to form a strong alliance with the upcoming European Parliament and Commission to shape the future of European continent and the planet. Eurocities 2024 will showcase how cities are becoming greener, more innovative and more resilient by nurturing local ecosystems and talents.
Traian Urban, Director Innovation Hub East, will be participating in the panel discussion titled “Innovation driving urban transformations” on 30 May from 14.00 to 15.30 CET. The session aims to highlight the crucial role of cities in driving innovation across various domains such as entrepreneurial, social, and cultural and the potential of local innovation ecosystems. The panel will emphasise the multi-stakeholder dynamics within urban innovation ecosystems, exploring how a deeper understanding of these dynamics can foster innovation and drive local transformation.

Awards ceremony
As part of the annual Eurocities conference in Cluj-Napoca, the awards ceremony will take place on 30 May 2024. Awards will be given to cities successfully addressing needs and increasing the well-being of their inhabitants in a changing world.
Special event on the annual conference Eurocities 2024
The conference will include a special event Cluj Days from 30 May to 2 June! In particular, the soul festival of Cluj will be a unique event as it engages the entire community – dynamic, connected and inclusive!
