This hybrid (in person and online) Citython edition will be held in the city of Neapoli-Sykies, Greece. The goal of this Citython is for young professionals to search for innovative and creative solutions that can be applied in the city of Neapoli-Sykies to foster innovation.
This hackathon will provide an opportunity for brilliant young talents to create their solutions with the help of mentors and experts, who will be available throughout the event, while also experiencing the unforgettable thrill of coming together with peers who share the same passion for digital technology and innovation.
Challenges:
The challenges teams will tackle in the Citython 2022 Neapoli-Sykies are:
Challenge 1 – Assist safer access for places that attract children: create solutions that will support the municipality’s efforts to provide security for children’s accessibility to schools and playgrounds.
Challenge 2 – Improve accessibility of the citizens to trial paths of the Seih Sou forest: solutions that provide the means tools and services for facilitating accessibility and leisure activities in the forest.
Challenge 3 – Increase usage of micromobility systems and enhance active mobility: enhance the usage of micromobility means of transport like bikes and e-scooters and also promote active mobility.

Awards:
The Citython will give a total amount of €2400 in prizes. The winning team of each challenge (three winning teams in total) will receive a financial award of €800.
All participants attending the event in person will also receive merchandising items.
Teams:
The hackathon is open to both teams (of three to five people) and individuals of legal adult age from any country of origin. The event organisers will help participants who sign up individually to team up with other participants in a group. The procedure welcomes all applications and shall not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, or marital status.
