Futures Bazaar:
Exploring the future of sustainable urban mobility for liveable cities

Street with opinion bubbles

Event details

Join us for an exciting Futures Bazaar workshop in Tartu, hosted in collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility, University of Tartu and Stockholm Environment Institute Tallinn. This interactive and imaginative experience focuses on envisioning future liveable cities with sustainable urban mobility.

Participants will collaboratively create and explore innovative urban mobility concepts, leveraging the Futures Bazaar framework. The event serves as Estonia’s contribution to a broader initiative, with more than ten other Futures Bazaars in Sweden on various themes running in parallel.

The outcomes will be gathered to sow the seeds for future events on building society’s capacity for futures literacy and exploring today’s actions for desirable futures.

What is the Futures Bazaar?

The Futures Bazaar is a public imagination toolkit designed with the support of the BBC to explore potential futures through hands-on, playful and creative engagement. Participants immerse themselves in alternative futures using readily available materials to craft tangible, thought-provoking artefacts. These events foster creativity, foresight and collective storytelling, making future scenarios more accessible and actionable.

Who should attend?

This event welcomes students, mobility experts, public and private sector practitioners, academia and citizens interested in shaping the future of urban mobility.
