The Urban Transports Community is a European project within the INTERREG MED programme that promotes the exchange and transfer of solutions for sustainable urban mobility in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The MedCties Association is leading this project with the aim of promoting the transformation of cities in Mediterranean countries in favour of reducing carbon emissions and improving the quality of life of the population and the environment.
The Urban Transport Regional Days are organised in Italy, Greece and, on this occasion, in Barcelona, to present innovative solutions and public policy proposals in favour of the concrete and effective transformation of urban spaces.
With the intention of reinforcing and enriching the map of solutions and knowledge of interest for public and private actors in the territory, MedCities joins forces with us to improve the quality of life in urban environments.
The aim of the Urban Transports Regional Days taking place on 24 May in Barcelona is to inspire and encourage the transfer of concrete and effective solutions for more sustainable mobility, which are the result of research, innovative initiatives and the transformative vision of public and private actors at European level. The regional dialogues will focus on the areas of innovation and urban transformation for safe and reliable active mobility and mobility management in tourist destinations, but will also address issues related to energy efficiency, spatial planning and the use of new technologies.
A networking space will encourage exchange and direct contact between participants: local and regional public bodies, research and innovation centres, companies, operators, and promoters of technological solutions in the field of mobility, energy efficiency and the transformation of urban spaces.
