EIT Urban Mobility appoints external experts to support our work across a portfolio of activities covering innovation, business creation, education, citizen engagement, Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), and our Factory. Independent external experts may assist in a wide array of activities such as evaluation of innovation proposals, monitoring activities, and policy and strategy development. Skills, professional experience and expertise linked to any of EIT Urban Mobility’s priorities are welcome.
How to become a registered expert?
An Expert Expression of Interest form and instructions can be downloaded here. Once completed this should be sent to experts@eiturbanmobility.eu. You will receive a confirmation of receipt. Submission of a completed expression of interest does not guarantee you will be selected for assignment but will enter you into the expert pool. The Expression of Interest will be valid for three years.
Selection of experts will only be made from within the expert pool. The criteria for selection are based on the specificities of the assignment, taking into consideration the professional and technical skills required. Additional considerations may include language skills, geographical, sector and gender balance. If selected for a specific assignment, EIT staff will contact you to confirm your suitability and availability.
- Experts of any nationality may register.
- Experience with EU-funded projects will be considered an asset.
- Proven capacity to work in English is mandatory.
Please note that, without exception, staff directly or indirectly employed by EIT Urban Mobility core and project partners are ineligible to be an EIT Urban Mobility expert.
Prior to any work assignment, you will be issued guidelines covering a description of the tasks, duration, location (remote/physical), remuneration rates, and reimbursement methods. You will be assigned a specific EIT Urban Mobility staff interface. You will be issued both a Code of Conduct, including confidentiality, and a Conflict of Interest for each assignment to be reviewed and signed.
For reference only, a full daily remuneration rate is around 450 Euro.
Periodically, a call for Expert Expression of Interest will be reopened to maintain an open, transparent and fair selection of experts.
The deadline of the current call for Expressions of Interest is 30 April 2020.
