Dr. Maria Tsavachidis is the Chief Executive Officer of EIT Urban Mobility. Before joining the European Institute for Innovation and Technology, Tsavachidis was responsible for over 20 years of Innovation at Siemens. Tsavachidis started her career as a researcher in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and holds a PhD in Traffic Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
