Project summary

The ‘Digitalizing Mobility: Practices, Trends, Solutions’ professional course aims to equip industry stakeholders, such as public transport operators, city entities, policy makers, NGOs and mobility companies, with the insights and understandings required to address the challenges of information communication technologies (ICT) and digitalisation in the transport industry with a cutting edge, innovative mindset. The course aims to foster innovation and new mindsets within industry that will help transport providers and policy makers transition to more sustainable models of transport through digitalisation. The course will offer problem-based training and teaching, providing real-world context from experts in the field, and hands-on experience in individual projects. This framework aims to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and an “outside-the-box” lens when addressing the mobility challenges associated with ICT in the transport industry. The main objective of the course is to close the knowledge gap while also promoting effective policies and behavioural change.

The blended format of the course combines online and in-person elements, offering in-depth learning with opportunities for networking and an exchange of ideas. The individual project work stimulates higher engagement through participation and offers a better learning experience, while also creating a significant marketing appeal: the chance to develop their own project, shaped around their own interests, challenges and opportunities for their organisations and cities.
