Winter School for Urban Mobility Leaders

Project summary

EXCEL Winter School offers a transformative journey in sustainable urban mobility and bridges the knowledge gap by empowering students to shape the future of transportation. Through immersive experiences, participants will learn to understand innovation and entrepreneurship in urban mobility and develop solutions with experts and stakeholders. Additionally, participants unlock EIT Urban Mobility Master School opportunities which inspires further education. Fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, students will create impactful ventures, gain insights from industry leaders, explore cutting-edge technology, and engage with local mobility ecosystems.


In Malta, the Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology and PAF (Project Aegle Foundation) will collaborate with Transport Malta, Gozo Regional Development Authority, and industry stakeholders such as Malta Innovation Forum, Accelerate (A8 – Venture Thrive), Malta Chamber of Commerce and Gozo Chamber of Commerce.


In Bulgaria, Cleantech Bulgaria will join forces with Sofia Urban Mobility Centre, Sofia Municipality, the Electric Vehicles Industrial Cluster, and several universities.

Context

EXCEL bridges the knowledge gap, fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, promotes EIT Urban Mobility Master Programmes, and empowers students to contribute to sustainable and liveable cities.

Challenge

EXCEL Winter School bridges knowledge gaps and encourages entrepreneurship for students in RIS countries to play a role in shaping the future of urban mobility.

Expected outcome

EXCEL empowers students to become change-makers and contribute to the transformation of urban mobility, leading to a more sustainable, prosperous, and equitable future.
