The project will enhance sustainable urban mobility in Konya by incorporating behavioural science-based nudges into digital platforms and public interfaces. Building on the proven success of the Smart Nudges platform, the initiative aims to encourage multimodal transportation, thereby reducing reliance on private vehicles and easing traffic congestion.
To maximize visibility and engagement, interventions from the platform will be embedded in strategically placed key citizen interaction points, such as city apps, public displays and transportation systems. The pilot is scheduled to launch during the European Mobility Week and continue for several weeks, with the goal of achieving significant behavioural changes toward more sustainable commuting practices. This project is expected to set a new standard for urban mobility strategies in Konya and beyond.

To demonstrate Smart Nudges’ potential to shift urban transport toward sustainability by integrating with public displays and citizen-focused digital touchpoints.
The project tackles Konya’s limited use of multimodal transport by promoting a shift from private cars to sustainable commuting through digital nudging strategies.
So far, 15% of respondents have switched or plan to switch to multimodal travel, and 30% to more sustainable commuting thanks to Smart Nudges.
