Request for proposals: Conference organised in the European Parliament

At EIT Urban Mobility, we are committed to increasing our visibility among the newly elected and appointed EU officials. To achieve this, we plan to organise a two-hour policy event, in Brussels, in the European Parliament, aiming to introduce and position EIT Urban Mobility (EIT UM) as an influential stakeholder in shaping urban mobility innovation policy development, awareness and as an active partner in advancing sustainable urban mobility within the European Union.

This event is intended to foster relationships between EIT UM and key EU policymakers, to facilitate engagement with returning Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and establish initial connections with newly appointed officials. The overarching goal is to communicate EIT UM’s commitment to enhancing urban liveability through innovative mobility solutions, while showcasing its vision and contributions to the sector.

Key objectives include:

  • Enhancing visibility: Position EIT UM as a proactive and integral stakeholder in European urban mobility through an impactful, well-coordinated policy event.
  • Stakeholder education: Inform EU policymakers about EIT UM’s initiatives and innovative approaches that contribute to EU goals for urban liveability and sustainable transportation.
  • Manifesto presentation: Publicly introduce and distribute EIT UM’s latest policy Manifesto, which outlines its vision, strategic priorities, and contributions to urban mobility innovation.
  • Establishing future collaborations: Gauge interest in forming a coalition or alliance, to foster collaboration across sectors and enhance EIT UM’s influence.
