Request for Proposals: Digital marketing strategy for the EIT Virtual Campus

4 March 2022

EIT Urban Mobility will work with other EIT KICs, which combined comprise a network of over 100 universities alongside other key education and non-education players, to develop the EIT Virtual Campus. The EIT Virtual Campus aims at bringing together the KICs’ professional education offer available into one single platform. While the EIT Virtual Campus will act as an online shopping window by gathering the hundreds of courses offered by the involved KICs into one single platform, the courses will remain hosted on each individual KIC’s learning platform (which range from market leader platforms such as FutureLearn and Coursera, to the KIC´s own Moodle platforms). This means that the EIT Virtual Campus is expected to increase traffic to the KICs’ education sites and courses by gathering all the professional education offer of the KICs into an attractive platform with a recognisable brand that can – in the near future – open up new markets to otherwise rather topic specific KICs.

To deliver the EIT Virtual Campus in 2022, EIT Urban Mobility is seeking for a single provider for the two following work packages.

  1. Mapping the professional education offer across all 8 KICs, including designing a set of indicators against which to classify the courses based on their specifications and designing a consultation methodology with the KICs to understand and map their education portfolio; with views to producing a database gathering all this information, linking it to user-friendly visualisation tools, and supporting portfolio segmentation and the production of a course roll-out strategy.
  2. Delivering a digital marketing and data strategy. The aim of this second Work Package will be to understand how we can most effectively and efficiently (a) attract attention to the EIT Virtual Campus, to increase traffic to the KICs’ education offer; (b) drive user retention, including lawfully using data to entice users to remain engaged with the EIT Virtual Campus; and (c) achieve conversion from visits to enrolments, with a view to maximising return on investment. The strategy will set out the technical requirements for the EIT Virtual Campus to deliver it.
