Home > Request for proposals: High-impact innovation activity services in Cyprus, Malta and North Macedonia (Lot-based)
29 November 2024
EIT Urban Mobility S.L.U. (hereinafter referred as EIT UM) is pleased to announce this Request for Proposals (RfP) aimed at identifying three qualified suppliers (hereinafter referred as “provider” or “supplier”) to carry out high-impact innovation promotion activities in three selected countries: Cyprus, Malta and North Macedonia. These countries have been chosen based on their significant potential to benefit from enhanced support to innovators, awareness raising and communication efforts as part of the broader EIT Community initiative.
The EIT Community recently established a network of EIT Community RIS Hubs to bolster innovation ecosystems across European countries in the RIS area. To build on this initiative, we are providing additional resources to facilitate high-impact innovation activities in the selected countries. The goal is to strengthen visibility, and engagement of innovators with the EIT Community, leveraging the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).
This RfP invites proposals for innovation promotion activities that meet specific requisites (detailed later in this document) and aim to maximize the involvement of as many of the nine EIT KICs as possible. The planned activities should contribute to raising the profile of the EIT Community in the selected countries by highlighting the work and value of the KICs, engaging the local innovation community and refer the best outcomes to the KICs programmes. These activities are expected to showcase cross-KIC collaboration, foster partnerships, and ecosystem development.
Applicants must submit a comprehensive plan for innovation promotion activities that covers only one of the designated lots (proposals covering more than one lot will NOT be accepted), with a focus on effective strategies tailored to the local context of the country. The proposed activities should employ creative, evidence-based approaches to amplify the reach and influence of the EIT Community.
With regards to the eligibility requirements, applicants must specify to which lot they are applying to, and must also have physical presence in the targeted country, either as a natural person who is a national or as a legally registered entity within the country.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to develop proposals that integrate multiple KICs, showcasing their combined strengths and collaborative potential. The KICs that actively take part in the EIT Community are:
In this context, on behalf of EIT Community SRI Cluster, EIT KIC Urban Mobility S.L. is aiming to conclude three direct contracts (one per lot) by the present procurement procedure. The specifications of the present RfP will become an integral part of the three contracts that will be concluded following the award procedure. Non-compliance to them during the performance of the contract may constitute a reason for EIT Urban Mobility to terminate it.
