Request for Proposals: Selection of moderators and event facilitators

16 December 2022

Events are an important component of EIT Urban Mobility’s communications strategy and play a pivotal role and channel for disseminating the success and impact of EIT Urban Mobility. Relevant events range from internally organised events such as the annual EIT Urban Mobility flagship event (Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress); to smaller, governance and business cycle generated meetings such as the General Assembly. Several core events are organised by the headquarters; those that relate to our Business Cycle of project development and to our programmes, Academy, Impact Ventures, Innovation and Market Development, others by our Innovation Hubs (regional offices) and those belonging to programme activities, in most cases, by our partners.

  • Internal events such as matchmaking events and workshops, serve to build cohesion within EIT Urban Mobility partnership and to keep partners informed and involved to motivate them to contribute to all ongoing EIT Urban Mobility activities. Internal events also serve to enhance synergies, for mutual learning, collaborations, and shared value creation.
  • External events include events organised by EIT Urban Mobility and its Innovation Hubs which are open to non-partners and events where EIT Urban Mobility has an active role. Organised by the KIC itself may be networking events, events at local level to connect with the citizens, thematic events related to specific areas of expertise, hackathons, etc.
  • Tomorrow Mobility World Congress, EIT Urban Mobility’s annual flagship event, taking place yearly in November in Barcelona (Spain). The congress is co-organised by Fira Barcelona and taking place alongside a well-established event, Smart City Expo World Congress, thereby creating a congress of global reach for maximum impact.

EIT Urban Mobility wishes to appoint several external moderators/facilitators to support our work across a portfolio of activities covering Innovation, Impact Ventures, Education, Citizen Engagement, City Club, Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), Market Development and its Innovation Hubs (regional offices). Independent external moderators/facilitators may assist in a wide array of activities such as events, meetings, workshops, etc. Skills, professional experience, and expertise linked to any of EIT Urban Mobility’s priorities are welcome. All services will be under request.

All information, including the detailed scope of work, deliverables, and terms & conditions can be found in the Request for Proposals.
