Working with cities
The City Club is EIT Urban Mobility’s platform for cities to collaborate and advance innovation for sustainable transport. Through our network, cities, regions and public authorities share and exchange on their experiences, provide key insights to shape the mobility agenda, and work with other organisations to define, test and upscale ideas.
EIT Urban Mobility has worked with more than 40 cities, regions and other public authorities that are part of its community. Our core approach is to start with cities and connect them with the technological advancements that are happening in industry and research. Artificial intelligence to predict and model mobility needs, advanced sensors that collect real-time data, and cleaner vehicles for deliveries and public transport are just a few examples of the constantly evolving capabilities that can serve as a tool to address city priorities and challenges.
EIT Urban Mobility uses pilot projects, peer-to-peer exchange and matchmaking, professional training programmes and networking events to further develop and cross-fertilise ideas.
We support cities to participate in EIT Urban Mobility funding calls, as well as engage in regional, national and EU funding proposals.
We connect these insights to the broader European landscape to help advance policies and visions that are grounded in real examples and experiences.
